Busscope End User License Agreement
Copyright (c) 2026 Osman ÖZTÜRK. All rights reserved.
This agreement is between you (an individual or a single legal entity) and Osman ÖZTÜRK (the "licensor"). By
installing or using Busscope you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install or use Busscope.
1. License. The licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Busscope
for your internal business or personal use. Each license is for one person, who may use Busscope on all
computers that person uses; your license key or purchase receipt states the number of licenses (users). The
license is perpetual unless the key states an expiry date. Without a license key the software runs in
evaluation mode, where the licensor may limit its features or evaluation period. Evaluation use for production
or commercial purposes is not permitted.
2. Restrictions. You may not copy (except for backup), sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicense or distribute Busscope or
your license key, offer it as a hosted service, remove its notices, circumvent or tamper with its licensing
mechanism, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the extent applicable law permits this
despite this restriction.
3. Third-party components. Busscope includes third-party components (listed under Third-party components) that are
licensed under their own terms. Nothing in this agreement restricts your rights under those licenses; in
particular, you may replace the Qt libraries shipped with Busscope as the GNU LGPL v3 allows.
4. Ownership. Busscope is licensed, not sold. The licensor retains all rights, title and interest not expressly
granted, including all intellectual property rights. If you send feedback, the licensor may use it without
obligation to you.
5. Updates and support. Updates may be offered at the licensor's discretion and are covered by this agreement unless
they come with their own terms. The licensor has no duty to provide support, maintenance or updates unless stated
in your purchase receipt.
6. Fees and taxes. Fees are stated at purchase and are payable in advance. You are responsible for all taxes, duties
and levies that apply to your purchase, except taxes on the licensor's income. Refunds are given only where
required by law or stated at purchase.
7. License key and data. The licensor may process your name, email address, order and license key information to
deliver, verify and support your license and to meet legal duties. Busscope does not send your device data, polled
values or project files to the licensor. The licensor handles personal data in line with applicable data
protection law, including the GDPR and the Turkish KVKK where they apply.
8. Safety. Busscope can write to industrial devices. You are responsible for checking that every write is safe for
the connected equipment and for the people and processes that depend on it. Do not use Busscope as the only
safeguard in safety-critical systems, nuclear, aviation or life-support applications.
9. No warranty. BUSSCOPE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY
LAW.
10. Limitation of liability. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, PROFIT OR PRODUCTION, OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT, AND ITS TOTAL
LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Nothing in this
agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, fraud,
or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Export and sanctions. You must follow all export control and sanctions laws that apply to Busscope. You confirm
that you are not located in, or controlled by or acting for a person in, a country or on a list that is subject
to comprehensive sanctions or an export prohibition that applies to the licensor or to you.
12. Termination. This license ends automatically if you breach it, and the licensor may end it if a payment is
reversed or charged back. Then you must stop using and delete all copies. Sections 2, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 13 to 15
survive termination.
13. Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict of law
rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
14. Disputes. The courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye at the licensor's place of residence have exclusive
jurisdiction over disputes arising from this agreement. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the
mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence, nor your right to bring a claim before the
courts there.
15. General. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the provision is replaced by a
valid one that comes closest to its purpose. This agreement is the entire agreement about Busscope and replaces
earlier terms. You may not assign it without the licensor's written consent; the licensor may assign it. This
agreement is written in English; any translation is for convenience and the English text prevails. Contact:
